Lots of good information regarding Gestational Diabetes. NOT a medical website, but a very good layperson's review of available research and personal experience with the diagnosis.
This is a link to the cheapest source I've found for the V2 supporter. It is a product made by the prenatal cradle company to help with vulvar varicosities, an annoying little problem of pregnancy I've recently become aquainted with. It is slightly uncomfortable to wear (for me, since I don't like any sort of tightness or binding anywhere) but I really notice a big difference in how I feel. When I take it off I almost instantly feel as if my belly drops and weighs about 10 pounds more, and the pressure in my pelvic region increases. Other remedies that have helped are bathing in a "tea" of comfrey leaves and root, and nettle leaves or calendula oil. I also use witch hazel wipes for immediate relief throughout the day, sometimes wearing one as a panty liner.
These are websites that sell cool baby slings ...But... I have put them here for ideas mainly. YOU can make your own sling and depending on your level of craftiness, It can be every bit as cool as these! The basic design for a CHEAP and EASY TO USE SLING: 1) take a sturdy T-shirt thats a bit too small for you. 2) cut it off right under the sleeves. toss out the sleeves or cut them off to make a couple of hair bands for you. 3) take the leftover tube of fabric and slip it on over your shoulder, left arm goes through first if you are right handed. 4) put your baby in. THAT'S IT!
This site has lots of great DIY ideas for parents and parents to be!
